A Pickaway County man is facing child pornography-related charges following the execution of search warrant at an apartment on Arapaho Drive in Circleville.
Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew Hafey reports that a search warrant was conducted at apartment #3 at 2135 Arapaho Drive on Tuesday. The warrant was issued following an ongoing investigation into offenders sharing child pornography through online methods.
Officers with the Franklin County Sheriff Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce assisted in the investigation and executed the search warrant after peer-to-peer files were found linked to a specific IP address at the Arapaho apartment.
The resident of the apartment, identified as Joshua J. Oday, was interviewed by detectives, and was subsequently arrested on five fourth-degree felony counts of Pandering Sexually Oriented Material Involving a Minor.
Sheriff Mathew Hafey says more charges are pending as the investigation progresses.
