Four people were flown from the scene of a two-vehicle head-on collision along US 50 in Ross County late Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Lacee M. Seymour, 39, of Bainbridge, was traveling southwest along US 50 at around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4th when her 2015 Chevy Trax collided head-on with a northeast -bound 2008 Ford Escape operated by Levi P. Saltz, 18, of Clarksburg.
The Patrol, in a release on Thursday, said both vehicles traveled left-of-center prior to striking one another head-on. The Patrol adds that both vehicles traveled off the roadway, colliding with a guardrail before coming to rest.
Lacee Seymour and an unidentified juvenile passenger in her vehicle were flown from the scene to separate hospitals, with Seymour taken to OSU Medical Center and the juvenile taken to Nationwide Children's. Levi Saltz and his passenger, Sharon K. Saltz, 64, of Clarksburg, were flown from the scene to OSU Medical Center.
US 50 was closed for approximately two hours during the investigation, which remains ongoing.
Fire and EMS crews from Twin, Huntington and Scioto Townships assisted at the scene, along with members of the Bainbridge Fire Department and MedFlight.
