A group of prehistoric mounds once dotted the landscape between Chillicothe’s Paint Street and the Adena mansion, but they have been lost to farming and development.
Local archaeologist and educator Gary Argabright will present "Rediscovering Chillicothe’s Forgotten Mounds" at 7pm Thursday in the Stevenson Center of Ohio University-Chillicothe.
The free event will be followed up by trolley bus tours of those sites starting at 10 and 11am the next two Saturdays.
