The Jackson County Sheriff reports that the wildfire danger is high today for southeast Ohio, and it's probably just as bad for the rest of us.
Very dry conditions are expected this afternoon, and open burning of any type is considered extremely dangerous. Be very careful of heat and sparks while operating any equipment or smoking in wildland areas.
Ohio state law prohibits burning this season from 6 am to 6 pm.
