A Blanchester man was pronounced decreased at the scene following a single-vehicle crash from late Wednesday afternoon in Clinton County.
According to the Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, shortly before 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Charles Gilkison, 54, was westbound on Second Creek Road, near the area of Rhude Road, when he lost control of his 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck while navigating a curve.
Gilkison’s pickup veered off the right side of Second Creek and collided with a couple of traffic signs and a ditch. Gilkison was ejected from the truck when its impact with the ditch caused it to overturn.
As a result of the crash, the Ohio State Highway Patrol is encouraging drivers to always were a seatbelt.
