The Memorial Day holiday will be celebrated this Monday, May 29th. The Highland County community of Pricetown will celebrate the day during the annual veterans’ ceremony on Monday morning at the Pricetown Church of Christ.
The march to Baker Cemetery will leave the church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday where a ceremony honoring local veteran Quinton Blankenship will then be held. Following the ceremony, attendees will then return to the Pricetown Church for the annual Memorial Day Program at 11:00 a.m. The program with feature a recitation of the Gettysburg Address, patriotic songs, and the traditional presentation of the Quilts of Honor.
The keynote presentation for the program will be delivered by U.S. Navy veteran Mike Labig.
The annual free community dinner at the church’s Fellowship Hall will follow the Memorial Day program at noon.
