A fatal shooting is under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Office reports 35-year-old Luke A. Bricker, of West Portsmouth, was found lying in the roadway of State Route 772 on the morning of Sunday, May 28th, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Pike County Sheriff, Tracy D. Evans, Over the course of the investigation, eighteen separate search warrants were served and yielded key pieces of evidence.
On Monday, June 12th, Sheriff Evans reported that a person of interest in the fatal shooting had been identified and is currently in custody on unrelated charges.
The suspect has yet to be identified by law enforcement as the investigation continues. Sheriff Evans said one the investigation is complete; the case will be presented to the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office for Grand Jury review.
