Hillsboro Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge

A Hillsboro man has been arrested on attempted murder charges. According to the Hillsboro Police Department, officers were called to 1100-block of Northview Drive on a report of a knife attack on Wednesday at 10:39 a.m.

Upon arrival, police reportedly found three males with injuries, recovered a knife, and identified James Hall, 33, of Hillsboro, as the attacker.

"The response was in reference to a male attacking another male with a knife and that two males were detaining the attacker on the ground," according to the Hillsboro Police Department's news release.

Hall was treated for his injuries, arrested on the first-degree felony charge, and taken to the Highland County Jail, authorities said.

The two victims were treated at the scene.
