The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on US 23, in Ross County, Tuesday afternoon.
48-year-old Eva M. Maddox, of Newark, was turning southbound on US 23 from Crouse Chapel Road, and did not yield, and was struck by 54-year-old Melynn L. Howard, of Waverly. Ms. Maddox, Ms. Howard and her passenger, 62-year-old Kenneth Howard, of Waverly, were all transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center, where Ms. Maddox was pronounced dead. Mr. Howard was transported to Riverside Hospital in Columbus for further evaluation.
Green Township EMS, Green Township Fire Department and ODOT responded to the scene to assist.
