Starting Monday, March 27th, work will resume on the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) project to replace the U.S. Route 23 bridge over State Route 104 on the South Side of Columbus.
All lanes on the US 23 bridge opened in November after the contractor rebuilt half of the bridge. The priority was to replace the beams that were damaged in a crash last year. Now, the contractor is back to rebuild the other half of the bridge over SR 104.
During construction, US 23 traffic will be reduced to two lanes southbound and one lane northbound. Additionally, there will be no left turns from SR 104 east onto US 23 north. The detour is SR 104 east to Groveport Road to SR 104 west to US 23 north.
