The City of Washington CH Water Department will begin its spring fire hydrant flushing on Monday, April 3rd.
The flushing is done yearly to improve water quality and to keep the hydrants in good working condition.
The Department will begin flushing in the north end of the city. Crews will then move through other areas of the city until flushing is complete.
Residents may notice some temporary discoloration in their water during the flushing period. If discoloration occurs, residents are advised to turn on their faucets and allow them to run until the water becomes clear.
