Alcohol Suspected in Pike Crash

The Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury crash on State Route 104 near mile post 8 in Pike County about 1:30 Sunday morning. 

40-year-old Michael Newman was southbound in a 2003 Jeep when he lost control, ran off the left side of the roadway striking a guardrail, overturned and ran off the right side of the roadway. 

Newman was treated for non-life threatening injuries, and 40-year-old passenger Christine Martin of Piketon was treated for minor injuries, both at at Adena Pike.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
