Route 50 Restriction to Last at Least Three More Weeks

Route 50 in Ross County will remain closed east of Bainbridge for at least three more weeks.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has issued an emergency declaration to speed up the project and open the route to at least one lane of traffic next month.

Route 50 was closed last week after heavy rains collapsed the pavement under both lanes. Crews already had the route reduced to one lane while working on a project to build a new retaining wall at a site of frequent landslides.
