The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 20 cases as indictments, with only two open:
According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, on March 20th the Sheriff's Department was called to 674 Eastern Avenue, lot 3, where a man was reported to be breaking windows on the front porch.
44-year-old Ty R. Damron was found highly intoxicated inside...after using a brick to get in. He was removed at gunpoint.
The resident said Damron was an acquaintance, but did not have permission to be there...and that he was now missing $15 in cash and a phone charger.
Damron could get up to five years and a $10,000 fine for the charge of burglary.
And, according to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, loss prevention at Wal-Mart contacted the Chillicothe Police Department March 10th about suspicious purchases being made.
32-year-old Christopher P. Detty was noted making four purchases totalling $893 within 26 minutes...without leaving the store. They included two X-Box game consoles, a tool set, a phone card, and a carton of cigarettes...but he was denied a cash withdrawal.
Detty was using a Master Card debit card owned by AR1 Auto in Chillicothe. The cardmember told police he must have dropped it outside the shop.
Detty's charge of receiving stolen property could net him up to one year and a $2,500 fine.
