Franklin and Madison Counties Ranked Near the Top for State Heroin Seizures

Franklin and Madison counties are ranked near the top among Ohio's largest heroin seizures for 2016.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says more than 12-thousand grams of heroin were seized by troopers last year in Franklin County, while 74-hundred grams were taken off the streets in Madison County.  The seizures rank second and third, respectively.

Preble County, near Dayton, topped the list. Montgomery and Summit Counties round out the top five.

Those five counties represent 77.4 percent of the state's heroin seizures.
