More Traffic Restrictions Around US 23 Work

With a bridge repair and resurfacing project on U.S. 23 in Ross County already under way, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be moving into the next phase of construction which will bring additional restrictions next week.

In advance of paving operations, crews from the Shelly Company are repairing structures on U.S. 23, from just north of the S.R. 159 interchange on U.S. 23, to the Charleston Pike and Main Street exit at the U.S. 23/U.S. 35 bypass.  Construction includes bridge repairs at the Marietta Road overpass, where the contractors will close the road next week.

On Wednesday, May 3rd, Marietta Road will be closed between Narrows Road and Seney Road for up to 60 days.  Motorists will be detoured by way of Narrows Road, Charleston Pike, U.S. 23, U.S. 35 and S.R. 159.

Traffic on U.S. 23 will continue to be maintained in a minimum of one lane in each direction, and a variable speed limit will be in effect.
