The National Day of Prayer is set to take place this Thursday with an assembly at the Ross County Courthouse.
"It's singled out as the day for the nation to seek the face of God. It relates to local levels - schools, courthouses, government buildings - as we're encouraged to come together and realize our need for God," said Reverend, Shaun Howard.
This year's prayer assembly will focus on those suffering from substance addiction.
"This year we're going to be praying for our elected officials, first responders, and service personnel, but we've also decided to pray for those who are fighting the addictive issues we have in our city," said Howard.
The prayer assembly will begin at noon on the steps of the Ross County Courthouse.
