Monday, May 14th marks the start of National Law Enforcement Appreciation week.
All around the country, cities and towns will be remembering the fallen law enforcement officers and showing appreciation to those who continue to who put on the uniform.
Last year, the spouses of the Chillicothe Police Department asked area restaurants to honor our city officers by keeping them fed during their shifts and they're hoping to continue the effort again this year.
To participate, a business would pick a day to honor the Chillicothe Police Officers during the week, from Monday, May 14th to Sunday, May 21st. It would then choose to provide a meal to on-duty officers either once or twice during that day. The department wives can arrange for delivery of food to officers.
Businesses as well as local church and civic groups interested in participating for the week can contact Christina Dubay at 740-466-5499 or by email at missmottie@yahoo.com
