The Hillsboro Planning Commission will hold further discussions on the proposed establishment of two multi-unit residential facilities for clients of the Highland County Board of DD.
The structures would appear as 3,000 square feet homes from the outside to blend into a residential neighborhood with each consisting of no more than four living units inside.
So far, locations under consideration for the units are Elm Street and North West Street. The group must commit to a building lot by October this year.
They would be funded by the Department of Developmental Disabilities and Ohio Housing Finance Agency and owned by Highland County Community Action.
If completed the units would be restricted to housing for DD clientele for thrity years, after that they could be used for any purpose allowed by zoning.
