The expansion project for Chillicothe's Pump House Center for the Arts has been nixed. The Pump House's Bev Riley says the Center's Board voted to kill the project last week.
"There's been a lot of disagreement over the months, about maybe we're not getting enough square footage for the money we're putting out. There was a heated discussion and a motion was made to end the expansion project, which was seconded. It passed 4-3," said Riley.
The expansion, estimated to have cost upwards of $650,000, would have included classrooms, and a cafe. Before its termination, nearly half the amount needed for the expansion had been raised through grants and donations.
