This weekend you can visit re-enactors focusing on the time period from the 1750s French & Indian War, to the Mountain Men of the 1840s, and beyond.
The spring rendezvous of the "Sons of Liberty" is at Canter's Cave, about 10 miles southeast of Richmondale, off US 35. Looks for the signs to find it on Valentine Road, and find more on their Facebook event page.
You can also get good advice and buy clothing and accoutrements for re-enacting, including building and operating authentic muzzle-loaders.
The camp site remains free and open to the public 9 to 5 today.
