The Ross County Grand Jury returned 11 of their 12 cases Friday, with four open.
The young woman indicted May 19th, for theft and joyriding motorized shopping carts inside Kmart April 5th...was indicted for three counts of rape today. Both incidents involved the same 12-year-old girl.
According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, on May 22nd, a Chillicothe Police officer found a car in the Yoctangee Park Annex shortly after midnight. Inside was 19-year-old Shakyra L. Silcott of 523 Eastern Avenue, and the girl.
They admitted to having been in an on-an-off relationship, and having sex three times since December.
Silcott was ordered to stay away the victim and is still being held on a $100,000 bond. She could get up to 11 years and a $20,000 fine.
Another case dealt with the fifth and last car stolen in the northeast part of Ross County three weeks ago.
According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, the victim reported she had left her car at a friend's house to be repaired, but it had disappeared.
Later that day, a Sheriff's deputy saw the car being driven in Chillicothe and followed it to the rear of an apartment building at 133 High Street.
30-year-old Sunshine Eblin was the driver, who could get up to 18 months and a $5,000 fine for receiving stolen property. Two passengers were with her, one of whom was arrested on a warrant. The arrest was made by Chillicothe Police Department K9 Unit Officer Matt Shipley.
