Sheriff Lavender reports that many areas of Ross County are experiencing flash flooding. Sheriff Lavender is asking motorists to stay off roadways.
If you are in a home and there is no danger of water getting in you are asked to shelter in place. If you are in danger of water getting in your home call the Sheriff’s office at 740-773-1185 and they will assist in evacuation.
All volunteer fire departments are on standby, county and township road crews are outworking, the Sheriff’s Office has extra personnel out throughout the county.Updates will be posted on Ross County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page.
