Carroll to Lead HHS Girls' Basketball

Huntington High School has hired 2004 alum Tiffany Carroll to serve as the district's next head coach for its varsity girls' basketball program.  Carroll leaves the Western School District, where she spent 7 of her 8 teaching years there in a coaching capacity -- the past four as the girls' varsity coach.

She led the Lady Indians to Division IV Sectional Titles in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, and she earned a coaching record of (49-45).

The board also hired Carroll as a language arts teacher for Huntington Middle School.

She fills the vacancy left by Eric Snyder, who was hired as the varsity boys' coach in May.

"I grew up in Huntington Township," said Carroll.  "I still live here in this community, and in a couple of years, my daughter will be attending school here.  I wanted the opportunity to teach and coach at home;  I want to be able to make an impact on the kids that live here in my community."

Carroll was a member of Huntington's 2002-2003 basketball team, which finished runner-up in the state tournament.
