Ross Authorities Make Drug Arrest Following Community Tip


A 31-year-old man is facing drug & assault charges after an anonymous tip to the Ross County Sheriff's Office, Saturday.

Sheriff George Lavender reports that his office received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 61 Toad Hollow Road shortly after 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Deputies arrived and found a vehicle occupied by Aaron Stanley, 31, and a 35-year-old female. The female reported being assaulted by Mr. Stanley. The female did have evidence of being assaulted. Mr. Stanley was arrested and charged with misdemeanor Assault. 

During the investigation deputies discovered evidence of drug abuse. The U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force was called to the scene. A search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of suspected Methamphetamine, and prescription drugs, evidence of Drug Trafficking, and a small amount of cash. 

Further Felony charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
