The body of a missing kayaker swept over a waterfall in Athens has been found following three days of searching.
The body of Steve Lippson, 40, was discovered around 6:30 Tuesday morning near Ohio Health O'Bleness Hospital in Athens. A hospital security guard spotted the body along the river bank and contacted authorities.
Lippson disappeared after going over a waterfall on Saturday. He was one of six kayakers that were swept over the waterfall on the Hocking River around 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
The other five people were rescued by emergency responders or were able to make it to shore on their own.
