Adena Bone & Joint Center and FCMH Partner to Expand Orthopedics

Adena Bone & Joint Center and Fayette County Memorial Hospital will soon partner to expand current Orthopedic services in the region. Adena Bone & Joint Center providers will begin seeing patients at Fayette County Memorial Hospital, located in Washington Court House, beginning August 1, 2017.

“Patients expect to receive the care they need in a setting that is close to home,” said Adena Health System’s Interim President and CEO Dr. John Fortney. “Patients in and around Fayette County have a need for orthopedic services, and with FCMH, Adena is excited to have an opportunity to provide them with quality care from some of the best specialists in this field.”

“Fayette County Memorial Hospital and Adena Bone & Joint teamed up many years ago, having great success and patient outcomes,” added FCMH President and CEO Mike Diener. “We look forward to meeting and exceeding the needs of our community through this orthopedic venture.”

Since April 2014, FCMH has collaborated with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for Orthopedics. A partnership that has yielded a solid foundation to its Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Program, though experiencing a growing demographic need for general orthopedics. The partnership between Fayette County Memorial Hospital and Wexner will end July 31, 2017.

Existing patients will be offered the option to transition to an Adena Bone and Joint Center physician, or to remain with their current physician at a different location. Beginning August 1, ABJC orthopedic specialists Brian Cohen, MD; Karen Evans, MD; Neil Ghany, MD; and Jason Foster, MD, ATC, will see patients on the FCMH campus, operating from FCMH’s Medical Arts Building #1, in Suite 201. ABJC accepts most insurance, including MediGold. For an appointment, patients may call (740) 779-4598.
