24/7 News Source (Lucasville, OH) -- An Akron child killer is scheduled to be the first person executed in Ohio since 2014. The U.S. Supreme Court refused Ronald Phillips' requests for a final stay, Tuesday, setting the stage for his execution Wednesday morning.
Phillips was sentenced to die for the 1993 rape and murder of his girlfriend's three-year-old daughter. He arrived at Ohio's death house in Lucasville on Tuesday.
Phillips's last meal requests included: pizza, cheesecake, Pepsi, grape juice, and unleavened bread.
