Local to Race in International Six Day Enduro

A 17-year-old Chillicothe resident will be representing the United States in the International Six Day Enduro dirt bike race in France next month. Nicholas O’Bryant, a machinery and manufacturing student at Pickaway-Ross, is one of only 21 riders in the country who earned a spot to race in the enduro. The race is 8 hours a day for 6 days straight. It begins August 28th and concludes on September 2nd.

O'Bryant said his interest in dirt bike racing stems from his family.

"My grandpa started it," said O'Bryant. "My grandpa got my dad into it and then my dad got me into it, and it just went from there."

A fundraiser to help O'Bryant pay for the trip to France will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday.  It's a car wash and t-shirt sale behind Arby's on North Bridge Street in Chillicothe.
