A single-vehicle crash in Pike County claimed the life of a Beverly man, Friday.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Garrett L. Tornes, 20, was traveling southbound on U.S. 23 shortly after 7:00 a.m. Friday when his 2004 Chevy Silverado veered off the left side of roadway near mile post 4 and struck the median. Tornes' truck overturned in the northbound lanes before rolling back into the median.
Tornes' was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner.
The Seal Township Fire Department, D.O.D Fire Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Pike County EMS assisted at the scene.
