Chillicothe Council Pays for Water Facility Maintenance

Among the financial legislation that Chillicothe Council acted on Monday evening, two involved the water utility.

Pat Patrick saw her ordinance pass to get this year's water tank scrubbed.  It's the older one off State Route 159 near the hospital, not the shiny new one near Clayburne Heights.

That will cost $350,000.  The water tower on the hilltop is set for next year.

Patrick also explained the $35,000 that council voted to pay for new pavement around the bulk water sales tower on Yoctangee Parkway.   Frequent heavy truck traffic has degraded it, and it's part of the street paving program - but will be paid by city utilities.

Council will have a review session 6:30 next Monday for a presentation by the company "Code Red" on a mass notification system.
