(Piketon) -- A group who's against having a radioactive waste dump near Piketon is meeting this week.
The "Chillicothe Gazette" reports an onsite waste disposal cell is being planned for cleanup work at the Department of Energy site near Piketon.
An organization called Citizens Against Radioactive Dump In Pike County accuses the DOE of lying to local citizens about the project, and claims the DOE received waivers to regulations that would protect residents and the environment.
The organization is holding a public meeting Friday at 2pm in the Piketon High School cafeteria.
