Chillicothe's historic First Baptist Church will host its 2nd Annual Women's Conference this week. The conference starts Wednesday, August 23rd and runs through Friday, August 25th.
The theme for this year's conference is "Sisters Transformed for Kingdom Service" and it will feature a variety of local and state speakers. Those speaking including Reverend Janet Sheppard of Trinity Baptist in Columbus, Pastor Landereece Brown of Deliverance Church in Columbus, and Dr. Latrice Washington from Mt. Olivet Church in Columbus.
The conference will culminate Saturday, August 26th with a separate special luncheon at the Chillicothe Country Club where six heroic women who have aided in transforming lives of citizens in the local and surrounding community will be honored. Tickets for the luncheon are separate from the Women's Conference. They are $25 and can be purchased by calling Charlmel Simmons at 740-703-2023.
Registration for the Women's Conference itself is $25 and can be completed at www.firstbaptistchurchchillicothe.com. The cost covers conference materials, breakfast and lunch.
