The Circleville Downtown Business Association will hold a visual art contest on Saturday, September 9th in the downtown area of Circleville.
Area artists are invited to "Chalk It Up" in historic downtown Circleville from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The free event gives both novice and professional artists an opportunity to express themselves by transforming the downtown sidewalks into an open-air art gallery.
The theme for the event is Draw Your Favorite Pet or Animal. Participants are required to supply their own chalk.
Award Ribbons will be presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group. Age groups are K-5, grades 6-8, grades 9-12, and Adult/College.
The contest coincides with an Arts, Crafts & Antiques Festival taking place in downtown Circleville that same Saturday.
