An OVI checkpoint will be in Chillicothe Saturday evening.
The Highway Patrol, in conjunction with Chillicothe Police Department and Ross County Sheriff’s Office, announced this morning that it will be 7 to 9pm on Western Avenue.
The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols, to aggressively combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes.
The Highway Patrol states the OVI checkpoint is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers, and is funded by federal grant funds.
