Motorists Warned Not To Pass Stopped School Buses

Motorists beware. Do NOT pass a school bus stopped on the road to pick up or let off students. Ross County Sheriff George Lavender says this is a "disaster waiting to happen".

Lavender says they have already received a couple of reports where motorists are passing stopped school buses. The sheriff says this is a serious traffic offense, which entitles the bus driver to directly report your license number to law enforcement.

Also keep in mind that area schools have a 20 mile per hour speed limit zone, when students are being transported to or from school and in "playground areas" close to roads or streets.
