Meeting on Additional US 50 Slide Repair

The Ohio Department of Transportation has scheduled a town hall meeting to discuss the ongoing slide repair project on U.S. 50 east of Bainbridge.

The project has been on hold since encountering a series of setbacks.  Design modifications became necessary because of complications from the terrain and geological features, including finding that bedrock in one section was farther down than originally thought.

Staff from ODOT District 9’s Administration and Construction departments will hold the meeting to discuss the redesign, which includes building an additional 128-feet of wall at the west end of the construction zone - as well as continued maintenance of traffic.

The open-house meeting will be 6:30 to 8 pm Tuesday, September 12th, at the Bainbridge Community Center at 113 Dewey Avenue in Bainbridge.
