Pigge Sentenced to 25 Years for Prison Transport Murder

A Pickaway County Judge on Wednesday sentenced an Ohio prison inmate to 25 years for strangling a fellow inmate to death while on a Department of Corrections transport van in early February.

.Judge Randall Knece handed down the sentence to Casey Pigge, 29, following Pigge's guilty plea Wednesday afternoon. 

Pigge was sentenced for the strangling of inmate, David Johnson, with a restraint chain during a trip to court in Columbus. 

Pigge was already serving a life sentence for the killing of his cellmate, Luther Wade, in 2016, and 30 years to life for fatally slitting the throat of his then girlfriend's mother in 2008.
