A Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride turned deadly for a Circleville man, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff. 52-year-old David J. White Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene of a head-on crash with a pickup truck on Kingston Pike, north of Gay Dreisbach Road, shortly after 12 noon.
Sheriff Robert Radcliff reported that White failed to negotiate a curve, going left-of-center and striking the pickup driven by 31-year-old Jessica Neely of Laurelville. The report says Neely even tried to swerve in an effort to avoid the motorcycle, but still made contact.
Neely and two children, who were her passengers in the pickup, were not injured.
