The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office is holding a dedication ceremony for its new K-9 Memorial, Thursday. It takes place at 2:00 p.m. at the sheriff’s office.
The memorial was constructed honor the county’s beloved K-9 deputies. Four names will be remembered during the ceremony. Those are Meika who passed away in 2003, Joschie & Max who both died in 2012, and Deputy Stephen Harger’s K-9 Deputy, Aron, who passed away in early July of this year from a medical condition.
The dedication will be combined with a memorial service to honor Aron’s contribution to both the office, and the community.
