The Ross County Chapter of Drug Free Clubs of America, M.A.D.E. (My Attitude Determines Everything), is gearing up for its now annual rally at the Ross County Courthouse.

More than 1,500 Ross County students participated in last year's event, but Club Director Chris Scott, says this year's rally, set for Friday, October 27th, is going to be even larger. "We're going to have just from Ross County alone over 2000 kids," said Scott. We've also invited the kids from Circleville and their Drug Free Club to come down as well. So we're looking at a total of around 2,300 to 2,400 students in total after everything is said and done."

Scott says they're hoping to get the community involved for this year's rally."Last year we didn't publicize the rally too much to the public, but this year we really want the community to came out and be part of the event," said Scott. We're hoping people will come out to line the streets and cheer these kids on as they make their way from the park to the courthouse."

He says they have a special performance lined up for this year's rally."We're very happy to have CMA emerging artist and award winner, Shane Runion, said Scott. He's going to perform his song "Proud of Where I'm From" live from the steps of the courthouse. after that, Shane, will march back to the park with the kids, and the public, to provide a full performance with the Shane Runion Band."

The 2017 Ross County M.A.D.E. Rally will begin in Yoctangee Park around 9:30 a.m. on October 27th.
