Absentee Voting Now Underway for November Election

Absentee voting is underway for the November General Election.

Secretary of State Jon Husted says voters across Ohio will decide more than 15-hundred local issues and races.

Information is available on the secretary of state website on the two statewide ballot issues before voters. Issue 1, a constitutional amendment, calls for giving crime victims and their families the same rights as the accused. Issue 2, a citizen-initiated statute, requires Ohio to align the prices it pays for drugs to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which receives deep discounts.

In Ross County, voters will decided on the fate of renewal levies for Childrens Services and the Ross County Senior Center. There's also a renewal levy for Zane Trace Local School District, as well as renewal levies for Twin and Springfield Townships.

A replacement levy is on the ballot for Huntington Township. There are also a couple of local options to decide in Chillicothe. The Village of Clarksburg has a couple of renewal levies and voters in Frankfort will decided on an additional 1.5-mills levy.

A complete guide to the local issues being decided can be found HERE. Click on the questions and issues tab.

Information on candidates seeking seats on Chillicothe City Council can be found on the Chillicothe League of Women Voters website.
