The Ohio State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a vehicle fire in the westbound lane of U.S. 35 in Ross County late Wednesday morning.
A utility truck caught fire about halfway between Chillicothe & Richmond Dale.
The fire didn't cause much of an impact to passing traffic but a large plume of black smoke could be seen from from miles away.
A patrol dispatcher said the initial call came in at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday. No injuries occurred in the incident.
