Two people were flown to a Columbus hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Ross County, Sunday.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Hannah Riehle, 20, of Chillicothe, was traveling eastbound on Pleasant Valley Road around 9:00 p.m. when her vehicle veered left of center and collided with a westbound vehicle operated by Hannah Root, 22, of Chillicothe. Riehle's vehicle then proceeded to strike a third vehicle driven by Chad Taborn, 21, of Chillicothe.
Ms. Root became trapped inside her vehicle as a result of the crash and was extricated by mechanical means.
Riehle and Root were each transported to OSU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Mr. Taborn was not injured in the collision.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office and Union Twp. Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
