The new chief for the Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District is busy making changes. Chief David Manning, recently took over for the former chief, who retired. Manning says his current mission is to make "positive changes", including trying to fill the assistant chief's position and be open to suggestions and concerns from the community, when it comes to the operation of the district.

The joint district covers over 320 square miles in Highland & Ross Counties with 24/7 911 dispatched fire, rescue and EMS services.
