The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 22 of their cases Friday, with six open.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, on October 8th, Chillicothe police were called to Jefferson Avenue where a suspect had damaged a car's side mirror with a tire iron.
When the officer arrived he saw 31-year-old Melvin Gibson III walking from the scene, who then started running but slipped on grass.
After the officer pinned him down with his body, Gibson started a chokehold on the officer, who after starting to strangle, was able to break free and subdue Gibson.
He could get up to 18 months and a $5,000 fine for felony assault on a peace officer.
Gibson also has a case pending where he stole a golf cart from the VA recently. Gibson's family has said he suffers from PTSD.

According to the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, on September 8th a Sheriff's deputy was called to Watson Road on report of a suspicious person in the woods with a weapon.
The officer made contact with 29-year-old Ashley D. Neal and her neice. Neal blurted out that she had not taken drugs, but may have absorbed some...and that she had taken the gun from her neice for her own safety, and fired it outside because she thought her aunt was out there.
Neal said the .45 pistol was hers, but it turned out to have been stolen in Franklin County.
She could get up to 18 months and a $5,000 fine for felony receiving stolen property.
