The Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury crash on Egypt Pike Friday morning.
At about 9am, 28-year-old Charles R. Gallaugher II of Chillicothe was northbound in a 2000 Chevrolet 1500. The vehicle went off the right side, and struck a road sign and tree.
Gallaugher was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center and later Grant Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol is believed to be a factor. Motorists are reminder to never drink and drive.
