Ticks Still Active in Cooler Weather

(Metro News) --  Hunters and hikers are being warned about the risk of tick-borne illnesses, even as the weather turns colder.

The Ohio Department of Health says Lyme disease remains a threat with more than 240 cases reported this year in 60 counties.

People who spend time in wooded areas are reminded to use bug spray, tuck in clothing and walk in the middle of trails to avoid tick bites.
