Four people died in a three vehicle accident at 7:30pm Sunday on U.S. Route 35 at Dixon Run Road. 40-year-old Paul Moore of Thurman, along with his two children and a passenger in the other car were all killed. The children, age 9 & 12, were students at Oak Hill Local School.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that Moore was headed north on Dixon Run Road, when he crossed U.S. Route 35 without yielding and struck a Honda CRV, which was then slammed by an oncoming semi-truck.
The driver of the CRV is in "stable condition" at Saint Mary's Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. The individuals in the CRV were from Dayton.
