Clues are emerging in the disappearance of an elderly Pike County woman.
77-year-old Bernice Hayslip has been missing since the summer of 2016, and her daughter is a suspect in her disappearance. Authorities say 44-year-old Tracy Sowards is charged with receiving stolen property for using Hayslip's credit card.
WCMH reports Soward's boyfriend, Johnny Kerns, is cooperating with authorities...and told them a body was being stored in a barrel full of corrosive material on their property west of Waverly.
The Pike County Sheriff's Office says it hasn't confirmed identification of the body, but has determined that the bones are consistent with human remains.
